This April, in Edinburgh, the Ruby community in Scotland will host our first conference dedicated to Ruby and Rails. Whether you’re interested in finding out what Ruby and Rails can deliver, or already convinced and keen to hang out with some of the foremost thinkers in the community, this conference is for you!

Since it’s release in 2004, Rails has been delivering extraordinary productivity for web developers. Rails has also blazed the way for increased adoption of Ruby in many companies, and that’s made a difference to a great many companies not even interested in web applications.

Leith Short Film Festival

Monday, March 31st, 2008

I received an email from Leith Short Film Festival  (Arthur Finlay) looking for submissions for this years event and as ever, they are particulary keen to attract entries from local film makers. The screenings will take place in The Granary on the shore in Leith, early in June, as part of the Leith Festival.

They have a web site at www.leithshortfilmfestival.co.uk which has more details about this year and previous year’s event.
