Spartans Academy Website Launch

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Mariusz Pankiewicz (Learning Assistant | Design & Media) is in the progress of developing a website for the Spartans Community Football Academy.

The Academy will provide a new home for Spartans FC and will be managed by the charity set up by the club. The Academy will be used by over 1,500 people each week, mostly local youngsters. Telford College, local schools and community groups will run programmes at the Academy in conjunction with Spartans.

Spartans are already working actively in the local community supporting the Active Futures Programme, a primary school breakfast club and local agencies such as Muirhouse Youth Development Group. An Adult Literacy programme will also kick off in April 2008.

The Interactive Media team (David Hiddleston, Richard Bisset and Chris Hughes) will use the Spartans web project as a design case study where the HND Visual Communication: New Media and HND Interactive Multimedia will be talked through the design process from initial ideas through to their final design.
